CBT Careers
The Vancouver CBT Centre is a thriving private practice in Vancouver that offers in-person and online psychological treatment. We are a group of psychologists committed to excellence in evidence-based therapy for a variety of disorders, including anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, mood disorders, and health/chronic pain conditions.
If you would like to join our team at the Vancouver CBT Centre, we are looking for part-time or full-time psychologists with the following qualifications:
- A PhD (or PsyD) in Psychology
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC), or be eligible for registration
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practice. Our clinic specializes in the provision of cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), so a notable proficiency in CBT is an asset, however expertise in other evidence-based therapies (e.g., DBT, MBCT, ACT) is also welcome
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one area of mental health. This can include anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, or chronic pain/health, however other stated areas of competence are also welcome. The majority of our clientele are adults, however we would welcome psychologists with expertise in working with other populations (e.g., children/teens, couples, families)

What We Offer
Work With Us
- Referral stream: as we are a thriving practice, new therapists will have access to our steady referrals, and can expect to have their schedules filled relatively quickly
- A flexible schedule that allows therapists to set their own hours and work days, where they can work as much or as little as they wish
- Remuneration: we offer competitive rates of compensation
- In-person or online services: dependent upon space availability within the clinic, therapists can choose to see clients either in person, online, or offer a hybrid of both in-person and virtual services
- Administrative support: the Vancouver CBT Centre has several office employees to assist with administrative tasks, including client scheduling, invoicing, and receipt provision. In addition, the clinic offers access to online practice management software (i.e., Owl) to further assist with record keeping and scheduling.
- Peer consultation is offered twice a month to discuss cases, and discussion groups for ethics and continuing competency requirements are typically scheduled each year as needed.
- Opportunities for student practicum supervision: the Vancouver CBT Centre offers a highly competitive yearly senior practicum to doctoral students. Interested psychologists are encouraged to become involved in student supervision.
- A warm and collegial environment where therapists can obtain peer support and the opportunity to socialize at our many clinic events
