Meet Bridget Disini

Doctoral Student

Bridget is a senior practicum student, currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University. Her PhD research focuses on trauma-informed care, while her Master’s work investigated trauma in first responders. Prior to her graduate work, Bridget was also involved in research around Dialectical Behavior Therapy, non-suicidal self-injury, and suicidal ideation.

Prior to her senior practicum, Bridget worked as a Behavioral Assistant for 5 years providing Exposure Therapy for obsessive-compulsive, body dysmorphic, and anxiety-spectrum disorders, as well as has experience working with perfectionism, and sleep disturbances. She has also completed practicums providing vocational psychological assessments and is currently in supervised training providing therapy and assessment services in early psychosis intervention.

Bridget provides individual assessment and treatment services for a range of mood, anxiety, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. She practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a collaborative and non-judgemental therapy style. Bridget supports clients to develop tools and strategies to cope with the varying difficulties they may encounter in life, to reduce distress and improve their overall wellbeing.

Bridget offers both virtual and in-person sessions.
