Dr. Rachael Lunt works with people struggling with a variety of challenges, ranging from mental health disorders (e.g., trauma-related, anxiety) to life transitions and adjustments. In her work, she uses a cognitive-behavioural framework—emphasizing insights and new learning through behaviour changes—as well as principals from acceptance and commitment therapy, such as emphasizing goals, values, and accepting oneself and one’s experiences.
Dr. Lunt specializes in working with uniformed and non-uniformed clients with posttraumatic stress disorder. She completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Albuquerque Veterans Affairs Medical Center, postdoctoral training at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and worked with military members and their families as a Psychologist at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Lunt has received specialized training in prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder. Currently, she is a registered provider for the RCMP, Veterans Affairs, and the Canadian Armed Forces (RP2038).
Dr. Lunt received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Central Florida, has been in practice since 2010, and has been fortunate to be a part of the tremendous group of practitioners at the Vancouver CBT Centre since 2012.
Dr. Lunt works Tuesday through Friday and sees clients both in person and online.
