Erin (she/her) is a practicum student and current Ph.D. Candidate at the University of British Columbia (meaning she is close to the finish line!). Erin also received her master’s degree in clinical psychology at UBC in 2023. As part of her graduate research, she recently co-developed and piloted the first online CBT-based prevention program for new parent couples to promote their sexual and relationship well-being during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Clinically, Erin has received training in several modalities of evidence-based treatment (e.g., CBT, DBT) and is on her 5th year of providing supervised assessment and treatment services as a practicum student. Erin has provided group and individual treatment to a diverse array of patients with presentations including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder (SAD), depression, neurodivergence, substance use difficulties, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychosis, among others.
To facilitate meaningful and lasting change, Erin strives to provide a collaborative and tailored therapeutic approach for each client based on their unique needs. She leads with authenticity and compassion and likes to include a bit of humor into treatment when the moment is right. Erin is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment for individuals to: (1) re-train their brain to think in more accurate and helpful ways, and (2) understand and overcome urges to engage in avoidance or other unhelpful behaviours by developing more adaptive methods for coping.
Erin offers both virtual and in-person sessions.
