Meet Simone Goldberg

Doctoral Student

Simone is a practicum student completing her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where she also completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology.

She has received training in evidence-based treatment of adults experiencing a range of anxiety, mood, and related concerns. Simone primarily works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach, treating difficulties including OCD, panic and agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, illness anxiety disorder (also called health anxiety or hypochondriasis), generalized anxiety disorders, and specific phobias such as emetophobia (fear of vomiting). She also works with depression and persistent low mood, emotion regulation difficulties, interpersonal and relationship concerns, and challenges related to stress and life transitions.

Simone takes a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach to therapy. She works with clients to understand the patterns contributing to their difficulties and develop meaningful and achievable treatment goals. Her approach emphasizes practical skills and strategies that help clients reduce distress and make meaningful changes in their lives.

Simone offers both virtual and in-person sessions.
